During our time in Bali, we were lucky enough to experience each of these stunning hotels. Here are The Best Hotels In Bali (The Complete Guide).

Each hotel listed here is unique, special and memorable:

Munduk Moding Plantation

Nestled into the impressive leafy munduk mountains, this is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle and spend some time listening to bird songs and swimming in the luxurious infinity pool.

Coffee drinkers rejoice! Munduk Moding Plantation is a huge coffee plantation, book onto the free plantation tour and learn everything you could need to know about the life of a coffee bean, from the ground to your cup.

During your stay, you’ll have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of activities each day. We chose the bamboo straw making class, it was a lot of fun and I could have done it all day!

Despite marveling over the famous infinity pool on Instagram for the last few years, seeing it in real life still took my breath away.

When we arrived the view was engulfed in clouds, the pool looked like an endless illusion of reflective water. In the morning the clouds had cleared, and the sky filled with color, bursting over the horizon and illuminating the towering mountains of green.

Having a freshly prepared vegan breakfast whilst looking out over the pool is a memory that will stay with me for the rest of my life.

Desa Visesa Resort

Desa Visesa is a 5-star resort perfectly located in one of my favorite places in Bali, Ubud.

With its top-rated restaurants and luxury cave spas, this resort does have everything you could wish for.

The resort boasts a 6.5-hectare site of winding pathways, productive gardens, rice paddies, and brisk-flowing irrigation canals. You’ll be able to spend a whole day exploring without leaving the resort village.

When we arrived we were seated in the extravagant reception area where we received a traditional Balinese welcome, this in its self is an unforgettable experience and something I will hold in my fondest memories for a lifetime.

The villa itself was like something from a fairytale. With a private jungle view pool, an outdoor living area, a huge bedroom, changing room, and stunning outdoor bathroom… This is the kind of place that you never want to leave.

While at Desa Visesa we spent some time at D’kampoeng. Here you can get involved in animal feeding, pony walking, nature trecking and learn all about the local customs and permaculture.

Definitely, my number one recommendation for a luxury stay in Ubud!

Sahana Villa

Is there anything more perfect than a private villa with its private pool? I think not.

The Sahana Villas are beyond perfect. They have thought of everything and the villas are immaculately designed down to the smallest detail. The staff are absolutely wonderful and very helpful.

Everything you could possibly want and need is right here. With three luxurious bedrooms each with their own spectacular leafy bathroom, this is the perfect place for a group getaway.

Every day we woke up to a freshly prepared breakfast. They went above and beyond to ensure that we had enough vegan options and they kept the entire villa immaculate during our stay without making us feel intruded in any way.

Walking through the gate and seeing the pool and villa for the first time, I had to pinch myself to see if I was dreaming. Who would have thought you could find such tranquility in the heart of Seminyak.

Villa Sungai Bali

This villa is by far the most luxurious place I’ve ever stepped foot in. On our arrival, we were greeted by warm, welcoming people. While they were helping us with our bags we couldn’t help but become engulfed with positive energy, the staff are truly wonderful.

My first impressions couldn’t be voiced out loud as I was left completely speechless by the overwhelmingly beautiful surroundings.

Many things took me by surprise here, one of those things is the food, it’s exquisite. The chefs made a huge amount of effort to prepare delicious fresh vegan meals throughout our stay, I will never forget the taste of that aromatic pumpkin curry.

During my stay I felt a great amount of freedom and privacy, everything was kept spotless during our stay, the staff were thorough yet discrete.

I can’t thank the staff enough for making this one of the most memorable stays of my life.

Jamahal Resort and Spa

My cheeks ached from smiling at the end of my stay at Jamahal. The staff who glow with positivity welcomed us so warmly. During our time in Bali, we were lucky enough to experience two different villas at Jamahal. The first had a gorgeous grand wooden interior with a luxurious outdoor bathroom. The bath was filled with flowers on our arrival and the smell was exquisite. The main pool has natural leafy surroundings and has a real Bali feel to it, you can bask in the sun or take refuge from the heat in one of the cozy lounge boxes.

As for the larger villa, just wow. The villa boasts private massage rooms, two impressive bathrooms, a large comfortable living area, a beautifully designed bedroom, and a private garden and pool.

I honestly enjoyed every minute of my time here but here are my top 3 memories from my time here:

1. The romantic candlelit dinner by the pool

2. The immaculate spa rooms and the 90-minute signature massage.

3. Free access to the Ibiza in Bali beach club (an amazing place to watch the sunset)

Thank you Jamahal for the unforgettable experiences.

The Chillhouse

This tropical lifestyle retreat offers rustic, surf-style accommodation with beautiful outdoor bathrooms. Staying here I did feel a healthy combination of being at one with nature yet very safe.

The decor couldn’t be more perfect, around every corner you’ll find instagrammable locations to get your creative juices flowing.

If yoga and surfing are your jam, then this is the place for you.

With phenomenal yoga classes just meters away from your room, you’ll feel relaxed and energetic all at the same time. As for surfing, this is a great opportunity to receive guidance and meet likeminded people.

You’ll also find delicious, fresh organic meals at the Cassava eatery. Honestly every single day I woke up so excited to have breakfast here, the staff are wonderful and the food is out of this world. As well as the scrumptious food, Cassava are doing their bit for our planet. Feel free to click here if you want to learn a little more about that.

It’s safe to say I’m feeling rejuvenated after my time here.

IZE Bali

You’ll find IZE in the trendy location of Seminyak. If you enjoy quirky cafes and shopping then this is the place for you. On arrival, you’ll find the friendly reception staff who are ready to help you with any questions you have about the area. The staff speak excellent English so if you’re new to Bali, you’ll be able to learn all you need to know.

As for the hotel itself, it’s immaculately clean and well designed with a modern feel. The bedrooms are large and the beds are soft and comfortable. If you’re struggling with the heat, you’ll be glad to know that the air con is powerful and fresh.

My favorite thing about this hotel is the rooftop pool. Relax with a cocktail in the refreshing water with a birds-eye view of Seminyak.

IZE is a breath of fresh air, everything you need is within walking distance, even the beach!

Voodoo Gili Trawangan

(Okay so I know this one isn’t technically in Bali, but I loved it so much I just had to add it! My number one recommendation for Gili Trawangan.)

Hopping off the boat and strolling into Voodoo was the most perfect feeling. The sun was reflecting off the pool and the ripples of the water were dancing in the midday sun. The aesthetic of the hotel itself is natural with Island vibes.

Voodoo boasts 10 spacious double rooms with open-air sky bathrooms and 10 triple rooms featuring unique jungle-inspired bathrooms, all of which have a private poolside balcony. There are also 3 exclusive VIP suites.

This brand new accommodation is clean, fresh and comfortable.

The staff are warm and friendly, they instantly make you feel at home and each of them are well equipped with knowledge of the whole island! They are unbelievably helpful and have everything from Bicycles to delicious cocktails.

Let’s talk about food. It’s no secret that I will travel far and wide for the best vegan food. Not only do Voodoo have the island’s most famous burger but they also have an incredible vegan tempeh burger! I think it’s the biggest and best vegan burger on the island.

This place is my number one recommendation for accommodation on Gili T.

Thank you so much for reading The Best Hotels In Bali (The Complete Guide), I hope you’ve found some inspiration for your trip to Bali!

Travel far and safe,

The Lost Girl
