Camp Quirky - The UK’s Best Van Life Event?
So over the last few years it’s safe to say that I’ve been to my fair share of van life events. But there’s one in particular that I find myself drawn to. It has the vibes, the music, the food and an entire field full of good, likeminded people - Camp Quirky.

We were lucky enough to be invited along last year to talk about full-time van living as well as our European adventures. We had such a great time talking about our experiences and asking questions about this quirky lifestyle.
I also had the opportunity to be part of a Q&A panel with @nicroams @campervibe and @findingouradventure talking about making money on the move.
Camp Quirky isn’t like other festivals. At the end of the weekend there wasn’t a field full of litter left behind. Just lush green land left exactly how we found it, in true van lifer style.
One of the things I love about the festival is the sustainability aspect. The festival is powered by the sun with compost loos and no single use plastic.
Another thing I love about Camp Quirky is the amount of things to get involved in over the weekend. There are countless van build workshops in the converters tent, a crafts village, a wellness village, a kids area, a sustainability tent, a diversify tent, van life travel workshops, and the converters village where you can scope out some cool products and tech for your conversion.
Who is Camp Quirky For?
If you think Camp Quirky is only for people who have a specific interest in quirky camper vans, you’d be incorrect. This fun filled weekend is for ANYONE, especially those who have an interest in alternative living, sustainability, grooving to great tunes, laughing with friends and hanging out in the sun (fingers crossed for the sun). Not only is it a quirky celebration but its also a place for people from all walks of life, everyone is invited.
If you are looking to do a van build you’ll be able to see pretty much every single van layout option you can think of. You’ll be able to get up close and personal with some very quirky campers and get a feel for what you might want for your own build.
Camp Quirky is the perfect place to go if you are looking to get into van life but don’t really know what to expect or how to start. If you want to learn a little more about the lifestyle there are plenty of opportunities for that here.
But the greenest handmade camper van festival isn’t just for the van life newbies. If you already live in a van you’ll know how isolating it can be at times. A festival like this is the perfect place to make lifelong friends and chat to people who are on a similar path.
