Where To Cross the Border From Vietnam to Cambodia
It all started on Phu Quoc Island, searching for ways to get from Phu Quoc Island to Cambodia. There is a little border town a short boat ride from the island called Ha Tien. This is where you’ll need to go to cross the border into Cambodia.

After a lot go research we found out about a place in Ha Tien called Oasis Bar. The British owner Andy, has lived there for the last 12 years and has been helping travellers cross the border for years.
He organised everything for us, from stepping off the boat in Ha Tien, changing our Vietnamese Dong into US Dollar (currency used in Cambodia), to arriving safely to our guesthouse in Cambodia.
His assistant Mr Tay collected us from the ferry and handed us our visa paperwork when we arrived at our accommodation in Ha Tien. He accompanied us all the way to the Cambodian border ensuring each step of the crossing was smooth and stress free.
He is an expert and really knows his stuff, we didn’t have to wait in a queue at any point.
I honestly don’t know what we would have done without him. When we crossed the border into Cambodia a car was waiting to take us to our guesthouse in Kampot. We had paid for everything before the journey so there was no fear of being ripped off.
